Daysleft — a deadline tracker for people applying to everything at once

App: Daysleft
Last updated: September 9, 2026

Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Obada (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the mobile application Daysleft (the “App”).

Who we are

For privacy-related questions, contact us at the email above.

Summary

Information the App processes

Information you provide in the App

The App lets you record the things you are applying to, which may include:

This information is processed on your device to provide the App's functionality. Some of it may be personal — the names of referees you are waiting on, for example — which is precisely why none of it leaves the device.

Device storage

The App stores this data locally using the device's application storage (SharedPreferences). We do not receive it, and it is not backed up to any service we operate. It may be included in whatever device backup you have configured with Apple or Google; that backup is governed by their policies, not ours.

Sample content

On first launch the App plants a small set of example applications so the screens are not empty. This is fictional demo content shipped inside the App. It is not derived from you, and you can change or drop it like anything else.

Permissions

The App requests no runtime permissions. It does not access your camera, photo library, microphone, location, contacts, or calendar.

Data we collect on our servers

We do not operate backend servers for the App, and we do not include analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising SDKs. We receive no information about you or your use of the App.

Payments and subscriptions

The App is free and contains no purchases or subscriptions. If that changes, this policy will be updated before any payment feature ships.

Third-party services

The App bundles open-source software components that run entirely on your device and transmit nothing. If you download the App from Apple's App Store or Google Play, those stores collect their own information under their own policies, which we do not control.

Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Because the App collects nothing on our side, no such data reaches us in any case.

Data retention and deletion

Your data stays on your device for as long as the App is installed. You can remove individual applications from within the App, and uninstalling the App deletes everything it stored. Because we hold nothing, there is no server-side copy for us to delete on request.

Security

Your information stays in the App's private storage area, which the operating system isolates from other apps. Note that this data is not separately encrypted by the App beyond the protection the operating system provides for app storage and device encryption.

You remain responsible for overall device security and for anyone who has access to your unlocked device.

Your rights

Because all data is stored locally on your device, requests to access, correct or delete it can be fulfilled by you directly, in the App and in your device settings. Contact us at support@obdevapps.com if you need assistance.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version at the same URL and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.

Disclaimer

Daysleft is a personal organisation tool. It is not affiliated with any employer, university, funder or admissions body, it does not submit anything on your behalf, and the deadlines it shows are the ones you entered. Always confirm dates and requirements with the organisation itself.
